Barbie 2: The Sequel We’re All Dreaming Of, But Will It Happen?

After Greta Gerwig’s Barbie took the box office by storm in 2023, raking in an eye-popping $1.4 billion, fans have been wondering—will we see the iconic doll return for a sequel? According to some reports, Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, the creative masterminds behind the first film, are in the early stages of developing a follow-up. But it’s not all smooth sailing.  

While Warner Bros. reportedly loved a pitch from the duo, official representatives for Gerwig, Baumbach, and Warner Bros. have denied the claims, leaving us all guessing. Could this be a classic Hollywood move to keep things under wraps? Or are the rumors just wishful thinking?  

What’s Next for Barbie?
